Zachary Hayward was the winner of the senior engineering category of The Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Competition 2019, for his project Turbidity Meter. Zachary has designed and produced a cleaning machine which alerts an operator when the water has reached a certain turbidity and needs changing. He reached the UK finals of The Competition having won a place in The Big Bang Fair South East heats.

Zachary Hayward: I really enjoyed The Big Bang Fair and it was a fantastic opportunity to both discover the future of innovation in engineering and to network with many companies and organisations.
